Harvest and Dormancy

Harvest: After a careful harvest, tubers should be left for 3 weeks following vine desiccation to ensure proper skin set. Since PALACE is sensitive to mechanical damage, extra care must be taken during harvest to protect the tubers.

Storage:
PALACE has a long dormancy period and very good storage quality. It can be stored for extended periods at 6°C.

Growing Recommendations

• Nitrogen: Standard application –10%
• Phosphorus: Standard application
• Potassium: Standard application +10%
• To achieve a sufficiently high dry matter content, it is recommended to apply nitrogen at a slightly lower rate than the standard amount.
• For optimal tuber formation and increased tuber count, pre-sprouting before planting is advised.
• Fertilizer amounts may vary depending on the results of a soil analysis.
